Our Commitment
At ManhwaExplained, every review is written with one goal: to give readers honest, in-depth analysis they can trust. We are committed to editorial independence, transparency, and quality in everything we publish.
How We Rate Manhwa
Every chapter review receives a rating out of 10, composed of three sub-scores:
- Story (40%) — Plot progression, pacing, narrative coherence, and how the chapter advances the overall arc.
- Art (30%) — Panel composition, visual storytelling, character design consistency, and standout artistic moments.
- Characters (30%) — Character development, dialogue quality, emotional depth, and relationship dynamics.
Series overall ratings reflect the average quality across all reviewed chapters, weighted by recency. We periodically re-evaluate overall scores as series evolve.
Independence & Integrity
ManhwaExplained does not accept payment, sponsorship, or gifts from manhwa publishers, platforms, or creators in exchange for reviews. Our opinions are entirely our own. If we ever receive review copies or early access, we disclose it clearly at the top of the review.
Affiliate Links & External Links
Some links on our site point to external reading platforms. These links carry a rel="nofollow sponsored" attribute and are clearly labeled. The presence of these links never influences our editorial judgments or ratings.
Corrections & Updates
If we make an error — factual, analytical, or otherwise — we correct it promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date of the update. Readers can report errors via our social channels or by reaching out on Reddit.
Content Originality
All reviews and analysis published on ManhwaExplained are original work created by our editorial team. We do not scrape, rewrite, or plagiarize content from other sources. Where we reference external analysis or data, we provide proper attribution.
